The City of Stirling has several advisory groups made up of members of the community and who meet on a semi-regular basis.
Please note, these advisory group meetings are not open to the public.
Comprises of representatives from disability service organisations operating within the City, and residents who can contribute expertise and advice. The group oversees disability service matters such as access and inclusion. Council appoints community membes to the Access and Inclusion Advisory Group for a two-year period in-line wtih local government elections.

2024 Meeting dates
2 October 2024.The group is made up of Councillors, community members and City officers, and assists in developing strategies, plans and public education campaigns on the conservation of our natural environment. Council appoints community members to the Environment Advisory Group for a two-year period in-line wtih local government elections.

2024 Meeting dates
23 October 2024.The group consists of Councillors, community members, representatives from organisations such as RAC, Main Roads WA and any relevant City officers and deals with issues on:
- Road safety
- Raising awareness of road safety and initiatives
- Facilitating the development and implementation of road safety programs.
- Council appoints community members to the Road Safety Advisory Group for a two-year period in-line with local government elections.
2024 Meeting dates
6 November 2024.Responsible for planning and testing local emergency management arrangements.
It comprises representatives from various agencies and community groups such as the WA Police, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and the Red Cross. Council appoints community members to the Local Emergency Management Committee for a two-year period in-line wtih local government elections.

Meetings take place on the third Friday in February, May, August and November at 8.00am.
It comprises representatives from various agencies and community groups such as the WA Police, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and the Red Cross. Council appoints community members to the Local Emergency Management Committee for a two-year period in-line wtih local government elections.

The purpose of the group is to provide the local community with an opportunity to provide regular input to the City on cycling infrastructure and policy implementation in the City of Stirling. - To discuss community safety issues, suggesting appropriate strategies
